Flights of fancy.

There was quite a flock of black headed gulls feeding on the river this morning. This is a crop of a few of them. They only have a black head in summer.
Apparently they dispose of their egg shells, and have a general nest tidy up three times a year (about the same number of times as I do dusting.)
