Late Blip

Over to my Dad's today again. I didn't really want to go. My boss rang last night, nearly midnight, and asked me to work tonight. I said No to start with but ended up saying I would in the end. It put me in a really bad mood and that kept me awake! So I felt really tired this morning and looking at another long day. I would not have done as much as I did yesterday if I'd known I'd be working today either. 

Anyway, I went over of course. He finally had the appointment to have the catheter removed yesterday. It did not go well. Because it is closer to two months since it was fitted than the two weeks it was meant to be, he's now lost the ability to pee normally and will have to keep the catheter indefinitely. He also has a water infection! 

As well as all that there was a big bill from the care home . It has changed ownership and the direct debit we set up is no longer active of course. So a new payment has to be set up, by standing order this time. So lots to do over there along with the usual domestic chores. 

Quick coffee and a break to finish reading my book in a cafe, then work. It was busy early, quiet late and very cold! I'd forgotten how cold that shop can get. I'm working tomorrow, but only until 8PM. My boss has moved house and has no electrical white goods so wants to go and buy some tomorrow evening. I should have officially been doing all night but until 8 PM won't be too bad.
