among my various - collections is the - perfume bottle which - may come as - a surprise because - of my many allergies - i don’t wear - any kind of scent - however am intrigued - by them and - have always held - a fascination with the - many stunning vessels which - have been designed - to hold perfumes over the years

beginning as far back - as 1000 bc in egyptian times - scents have been - used lavishly and - therefore perfume vessels fashioned - to hold them - mostly made of glass or terra-cotta - they have advanced - over the years - to be made of - blown glass, molded glass - porcelain or enamel bottles - and in varied shapes - sizes and painted or decorated - in outlandish scenes of - intricate design and ranging - from simple to most elaborate

today collectors with a - good eye can - take delight in these - tiny gems and find them - at antique markets, fairs or auctions - recently a colorful perfume bottle - dating from 1920 - sold for $20,000 at auction - now wouldn’t that make for…
