A Favourite

This eucalyptus is one of my favourites trees in Bulimba Memorial Park. In an unstable world it has a great sense of permanence.

Today I happened to see a woman I vaguely knew from years ago. She recognised me first, then straight away said "Are you alright? I get the feeling something big has happened to you." I took a deep breath and told her about David. What she said next resonated with me. "Some people will tell you that you'll get over it. You won't. But you can become a different person in time, then you can begin to live joyfully again." This seems to make sense to me.
