Rhodo Day
Ok, I know these aren’t Rhododendrons, they’re Waratahs, but it’s Rhododendron Festival in Blackheath tomorrow and apart from the usual BBQ, the Rotary club is selling Waratahs. Four of us spent the morning cutting over 300 of them.
That’s isbi at work in the thumbnail. I know it’s not great photography but in the background, it shows the amazing ability of eucalypts to regenerate after fire. Bell, where we cut the Waratahs, experienced one of the most intense fires in NSW in the 2019 fire season and it’s coming back magnificently.
