Mute Swan

After saying how rubbish Spike Island was last week, I've now been there two days running! It's the closest bit of water to where I live at only 5 minutes drive away. 
I went for brunch and a chat with 4 of my schoolfriends which is always lovely. Then afterwards I popped over to Spike as the sun was still shining.  There are about 15 swans near the lock and then another couple of pairs on the canal. This is one of the canal pair and the light was great once again. 

This afternoon I've been ticking off a few jobs and now I have just got in position to watch the men's all-around gymnastics final for a couple of hours. I'll continue the catch up whilst I watch, I think.
