Abstract hug

It was damp and windy, though the rain was not as intense as forecast, and J had a miserably uncomfortable day, so I didn't go outside and didn't get round to looking for interesting abstract compositions in the house. A halfhearted attempt at close-up shots of chopped beetroot tops failed - light too poor, not well focused. Fortunately, there is always J's art folder...

This is one of a series of abstract representations of hugs using wet on wet watercolours which she did with S some time ago, hastily photographed on her bed after our Thursday movie. We watched a lighthearted and cheerful French film, I Got Life, about Aurore's relationships, work, daughters and menopause as she faces life in her fifties. It's on BBC iPlayer, not the most wonderful film but it made me laugh and smile, which was what I needed.
