National Sandwich Day

Yes, indeedy! Today is National Sandwich Day. Most people are sure that they know the origins of the sandwich.The Earl of Sandwich, of course. Not so fast. The sandwich has been around a long time according to History.com.

My choice of sandwich with which to celebrate this auspicious occasion is a little non-traditional. It’s pulled BBQ pork surrounded by melted pepper jack cheese on a large toasted potato bun.
