The Mirabelle under my balcony is in full flower . It would have been rude not to.
The fruit on this tree is actually slightly red. The tree was very small seven years ago and I have experimented with pruning to make it look like this.

The bees aren't as numerous as they should be, but there are some of the black wild-type from the forest plus several types of bumble bee. The honey bees are mostly the larger ones which over-winter but I did notice some of the smaller new brood. Plum blossom doesn't have very much nectar, rather like apple blossom. That's why you never see plum or apple blossom honey for sale as far as I know.

SR just came for some lupin and other seeds, bringing a frightening quantity of onion sets.
