Stomping
Footprints in soft mud,
flattening the tractor tracks.
A good job, well done!
Wet today. Had a rainy walk into town, bought Ben some new wellies, picked up some stationery and some fish, made a casserole for lunch, then helped older teen with some revision, made some cookies and went on our walk to the lake. I'm going to be honest, it was not really the weather for it :-/ But Ben likes to stick to the routine, so off we went. The new wellies came in handy, the ground was really soft and these tractor tracks (in the photo) were huge. Ben enjoyed trying to squish each one. It was a time consuming process and as it was the first walk since the clock change we really noticed how early it started to go dark.
Ben's current project/obsession has something to do with drawing a map of his school, it has been going on for a few days and involves Jiffy bags and green card for some reason. He very much seems to have a plan, although it's not entirely evident... I'm just going with it. The stationery we bought in town included coloured pencils, as he declared he needs a blue and a brown crayon. Whilst I'm typing this he's busying himself collecting materials and has just found the sticky back plastic we used to cover older teen's text books when he started high school. Apparently this is now a vital part of what Ben 'needs' for his map. I'd better go before he accumulates anything else more random :-/
Happy Saturday!
