Pondering
Walked into town for the market, followed by a galão (milky coffee) at Claudia's new place. Really good that Kasia and Guillaume saw us in there, and joined us for a bit of a catch up, as we'd been thinking we needed to. Their house is progressing - they now have an indoor toilet, but the kitchen is still outside. Mira is in pre-school and liking it.
Gratefuls:
- tidying the garden, which had really got into a mess, Mike worked especially hard cutting down and transplanting the elephant grass he planted years ago
- a video of Julia swinging with Eden snuggled up in her new hammock (given by A Ruth; hooks put up by Mike while we were there)
- this gorgeous article, Buttered Transcendence; to be read slowly, in Sabbath mode; never have I read a better reason as to why we eat with our mouth closed!
Adding late on, partly because of mentioned article, Mike and I just watched "Babette's Feast" (again); in case you've never seen it, do!
