Brussels sprouts

In the last days we talked one time about brussels sprouts just wondering why the english name of Rosenkohl is brussel sprouts. Today I looked in Wikipedia and the Wiki says that in 1587 was the first time sprouts have been grown in Europe and this was in Belgium. The original name is Choux de Bruxelles. In Germany was the Choux de Bruxelles also known as Bruesseler Sprossen or Bruesseler Kohl. In the beginnung of the 19. century the brusseler sprouts started spreading all over Europe and in some part of the United States.
Nowadays it grows mainly in the Netherlands, France and Great Britain.
Now it is ready and I have to eat my Brussels sprouts.
