A drover far from home receives a rare letter from home, delivered byi horseback. This oil painting formed part of a series I created, relating to outback Australian pioneering life in the 1800s/1900s.  The mirage-like image behind the drover represents his memory of his woman and young child outside their humble homestead, awaiting his return.
The painting is 'out there' somewhere but this photo of it just turned up.
