Sleeping on the Job
It was cold this morning after my swim in the Gouille Lake so I decided a fast walk along the river would warm me up and I saw this little Dipper apparently sleeping on his rock. Normally they are constantly bobbing up and down, plunging into the icy water but not him this morning. Lovely to meet some friends and their dogs also out for a walk.
On the way home I passed some seeding sunflowers with a mixed flock of passerine birds: chaffinches, goldfinches and bramblings (which I had never consciously seen before, extra).
Hope you have had a good weekend.
