Canal

We met Son and Grandsons in Stratford today and watched the Jennifer May going through the locks . 
The young swans, teenagers by the looks of them, always crowd around the lock gates when they realise they’re about to open. I don’t know why because they are quite capable of flying or getting out of the water and walking! But anyway that’s what they do. Then as soon as the gates open they paddle through alongside the boat. Getting a bit in the way if I might say so, the boat people are careful enough not to squash  them though. 
Arthur was very amused watching them. See extras.
