Winter Plant Out

It finally stopped raining this afternoon so I seized the moment and dashed outside to the front to plant out the winter display.

After a satisfying hour or so I had more or less done all the window boxes and a few tubs. Wallflowers and pansies mainly. I hope it will give a good display over the months ahead. 

By the time I had finished it was getting dark so I switched on the car headlights. Not terribly effective illumination but you get the idea. 

I felt very sorry for those intrepid veteran car run passengers and drivers this morning. They will have got a soaking on their way to Brighton.
