Chance Encounter

I had tried to dodge the rain for blip purposes and although I failed miserably on that front, I did manage to capture this rather unexpected scene.  Rather appropriately, I had my Meyer-Gorlitz Oreston as I was after droplet style photos, so a vintage scene was capture by a vintage lens and needed a vintage treatment.

These gentlemen had set up a marquee on our village green to collect for the British Legion Poppy fund and the gent in the foreground was showing demonstrating an RAF helmet and goggles to the young girl.

They were very chatty and I think they are going to be there again next weekend so I will go again with a different lens or two and a pocketful of change for the collecting tin...
