Milk Droplets
Here's another example of droplet photography using a different medium ie. milk. Actually the introductions to water droplet photography all suggest you start with milk as its viscosity and density are ideal and you do not have to playground with additives to form reasonable droplets. Of course, I have to do everything back to front and started and continued with water and have only on a couple of occasions tried using milk Obviously with milk being opaque you have to light it from the front and you do not get the amazing reflections in the drop reservoir. I found that you have to put the flash guns incredibly close to the droplets to get adequate lighting. I used flashguns with coloured gels on them to obtain the colours in the droplet but even then I had to use vibrance quite a bit in post processing to bring the colours out.
