Feeding Frenzy
It’s likely MrsP and I enjoyed our last breakfast picnic by the river. It was 70F at 9am but really it looked and felt more like 10am since we just turned the clocks back last night. It definitely did not feel like November • We enjoyed watching a couple of eagles soar the morning sky making circles in their search for food, or maybe they were sky dancing. They looked happy gliding through the clouds • A couple of groups of geese flew overhead with one coming in for a landing further downriver. A large group of mallards flapped by too • Right before we pulled out to leave a ring-billed seagull landed in one of the berry trees nearby. Then another, and another. Several more stood at the bottom scooping up falling berries. It was quite a feeding frenzy! Gulls Gone Mad!! Gulls on Berries!! It isn’t often one witnesses seagulls landing in trees! • Bert introduced two new chords today in preparation for “Tom Dooley”, a new song. I ended up playing the previous songs and practiced all six chords, including the two new ones. More practice is needed before I move on, otherwise Tom will go from Dooley to Doozy in no time!! • Enjoy your Sunday!
