SS Great Britain

Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and launched in 1843, she was the first ship to have been built of iron and to be equipped with a screw propeller. She was the largest passenger ship in the world from 1845 to 1854 and the first iron steamer to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
