Teacher Appreciation

It is Teacher Appreciation WEEK at the school that G does supply teaching in and yesterday she came home with this mug! On Sunday (she wasn't called in), the teachers got flowers. Today, they had an elaborate breakfast. G is already booked for Wednesday and Thursday so I shall wait to hear what happens then!! All arranged by grateful parents!

Seriously, I wonder if the teachers out there ever get overwhelmed when/if they think of the amazing role they play in children's lives.

Water problem got sorted last night but didn't feel like it when I was TRYING to have my shower this morning. Think I would have been better off having a bucket bath. Anyway, the maintenance man whom I had spoken to yesterday called and asked if everything was ok to which I said I didn't think so. The pressure was almost non-existent. Apparently, it is only in our flat that there was a blockage in the pipe from the tank. Thankfully he saw it for himself and had a plumber with him - so problem now well and truly solved.

Had to get my third bottle of cough syrup this evening! It's just not going. Ugh!

PS. G doesn't drink coffee to keep her going. And I remembered that it was exactly a year ago today that she had her very first dose of chemotherapy, which means it was the first time we visited this flat to check it out and then later that night, I travelled to the UK to go to an exhibition on behalf of G!
