A varied day

We headed out to R & S’s for lunch before driving up to Yorkshire in the rain. A planned trip to do things tomorrow.

We are in a very nice house courtesy of Booking.com. A trip to the neighbouring bar etc was a failure as they were fully booked tonight, but the problem was resolved with a visit to the village shop. 

Back to the house for a beer and crisps, prior to a delicious dinner cooked by R. We have exceeded our alcohol allowance, but can be good for the rest of the month!!! 

It has been good to relax and have time to chat and share news. We watched a Netflix series about the 2015 Nepal earthquake. R has visited Everest base camp three times prior to that date and spent time in Nepal. B & I visited Kathmandu in 2013 and were aware of the disaster, but hadn’t seen the extent of the damage. 

An early bedtime is essential as we will get an alarm call tomorrow and have to move ourselves. R is in charge so I’ll just wait for the mug of coffee!!!
