Filling the hole

I wrote at one time that you might see more of these lovely red-naped sapsuckers; however, in this case I'm working backwards.

Near the beginning of a new month, I look back at the previous one to make sure I didn't somehow miss a posting. Thank goodness I did. This was all set to go. It was taken during my October stay at the Santa Rita Lodge in Madera Canyon. Doesn't he look stoic! Extra stoic in gallery view.

I would like to thank Tookie for her emails today before and after the Buffalo Bills game.  If there's anything good about having lost to the Jets, it was hearing from her and cracking me up.
