Purple rain

Now this was a weird one ...

I was by the river this evening for a bit of decompression after the traffic jams in Toulouse, on my way home from a client's, on my side it was sunny and warm, on the other side there was a storm, which you can see in the picture.

I managed to get a shot of this purple heron, which was just about to touch down on the stormy side.

I suppose there is a start and an end to everything, but was a weird feeling - although I have seen this before at sea.

We now have two days national holidays in France and most are taking Friday to make it a loooong weekend.
