Worlds Smallest Light Tower
Evening all,
It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light - Aristotle Onassis
Today I got a sneak preview inside the Worlds Smallest Light Tower in North Queensferry. The Curator invited me inside this recently renovated wonder. In two weeks it opens the doors to the public, people can come in and light the lamp that shone ac ross the Forth towards its sister Light Tower in South Queensferry.
The light room and lighting system were designed by Robert Stevenson, Grandfather of writer Robert Louis Stevenson. The light originally sat on this small castle/home....but this was deemed unsuitable and moved to its present location. You can see the light tower to the right of the castle/home.
I'll go back in a couple of weeks to light it up!!! ;0)
Have a great evening ;0)
TTFN ;0)
