Introducing...Bugsy

Bugsy's giving Laura some loving here...he's a verrrrry loving lizard.

Mr Dazed picked Bugsy six years ago because when he was looking at a bunch of baby leopard geckos they all ran away from him - apart from Bugsy who walked straight towards his outstreched hand with a big smile, googly eyes and his tongue hanging out. In retrospect we have realised that friendliness is not an indicator of a reptile stud but we don't care and he is so friendly and so loveable that we have kept him despite not keeping leopard gecko colonies any more.

Bugsy is a bit special you see and apart from the fact that I love him and would never part with him I worry that no-one could look after him the way we do. He's fairly blind and pretty much has to be hand fed (though Mr D reckons he's trying it on a bit) and also fairly stupid - he will walk off your hand into thin air. There is also an interesting fact that some lizards have a sexual organ known as a 'hemipene' which basically means having two dicks. Poor wee happy, smiley Bugsy got a bit confused and bit one of his off thinking that it was a nice tasty insect. So now we have a blind, slightly dim leopard gecko with one penis. Awwww. We love him so much. And so do all our friends - see how Laura even lets him walk over her face?
