Dark the track, but light falls
The fourth image from the "Tunnel vision" series featured here is called “Dark the track, but the light falls”, which is a phrase in a painting by a famous New Zealand painter called Nigel Brown. That small painting is owned by a friend of mine and has floated back into my mind from time to time when I’m feeling troubled.
My photo starts to find more light than its predecessors – there is still a tunnel ahead of me (this exploration is going to take a while), but at least I’m moving now. I like the textures and the beginnings of green along the tunnel floor, and the gathering light from the right side makes it seem much less a treacherous journey ahead.
