A tooth extraction first thing meant I was in limbo by 9.30am. No point in going home and too early to head in for my meeting so instead I stopped off at the beach, gargled some water, munched some pain killers and turned some sand red while watching people making the most of the glorious weather.

I'm now using the soothing effect of Cornish IPA to bathe the wound.
