Sunburn

FINALLY the sun has shone on Edinburgh !

I had an early appointment in town and it was positively European- strolling along in the sunshine, outdoor cafes, people smiling. There was quite a buzz about the place.

Bank holiday weekends in Scotland generally means men with red noses. If the sun shines, it's sunburn...if it doesn't - well the pubs are open.

An exhausting day today - ferrying kids to/from all their various activities. I'm looking forward to sitting down tonight to watch the first episode of 'The Apprentice'.

Funny quote from my careers advisers this morning - he was interviewing volunteers for the forthcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games....and mentioned a candidate who sold used cars.....the candidate said he was surrounded by 'Judys'

'Judys?'

'Aye....Judy this caur in monthly installments?'
