Famous Fred

After we'd finished our seminar on "Ten Questions Every Development Worker Should Ask" at the Baptist Assembly, we took a break and went to visit parents of an ex-Brazil colleague, in Lytham St Anne's: Fred and Joyce.

They are in their 80's now and had a lot of serious health and family problems, but still the same cheerful, positive couple we remember over the years, as you can probably tell from this photo. They visited us twice in "the sticks" in NE Brazil. One memory of Fred is that he would never kill a fly that got past our screening, but catch it in his cupped hands and then let it out the door.
