Ted..

… a really lovely genuine man. A totally caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. An ex Corporal in the Scotts Guards, a keen gardener, a home lover, a wonderful neighbour, plain speaking with a great sense of humour, and a good friend. Ian spoke of him as one of those people who add credit to your care account whenever you visit them. Ted gave so much. You left having gained much.

Today we said our formal goodbyes to him. For now. Today, Audrey his wife, could not be there. She doesn’t realise Ted has gone. He has been her carer for the years of her severe dementia. Ted had cancer. Audrey came first on his list.

It was good to share memories of Ted with his sons. We haven’t known them but we loved Ted. So, a good goodbye. We give Audrey into God’s always loving care and pray her new home will care for her as Ted did.
