Green heron

On our walk in the park this evening, Bob spotted a green heron, shown here with his neck stretched out in the attention-getting pose. Here he is again, but this time in his watchful observer pose. The green herons aren't as striking or as large as our other common heron, the Great Blue Heron, but I get far more excited when I see one. Maybe it's because they are harder to spot, so thank you, Bob, for the assist on this one.
