2872. Poppy Seller

Meet this lovely man in the centre of Durham today as he was selling poppies for Remembrance Day.  He had some unusual medals, one of which was for the Berlin airlift which he explained was just around the time of the end of the Cold War.  He was delightful to speak to and very busy with people buying poppies so we didn’t get long to chat.

We’ve had a lovely couple of days with our friends and now the 3 hour trek home again.
