Wood Ear Fungus

Or Jelly Ear, or Judas’s Ear according to my identifier. Called Judas’s Ear because it often grows on elder trees and Judas supposedly hanged himself on an elder tree. The “ears” that emerge from the trees represent his tormented soul.

This was growing on a log, but don’t think it was elder. So maybe some other poor soul’s ears.
