'Are the stars out tonight?'

Very busy at home today. Just where do all these 'little jobs' come from? So really my only choice with the limited time that I had was a quick blip that I had been toying with for a few days. 

As it is I even had to rush that so the result wasn't quite what I had hoped for. But hey, I did manage a blip! I might try something along the same lines when I definitely have more time to give it.

Out came the tripod and after faffing about with adjusting it for the height I wanted I think I set the exposure time for 5 whole seconds in manual mode and waited for the result and it's more or less worked.

There's a tea light inside the house which is on the kitchen table and now it's on the mantelpiece above the open fire. I suppose that the flicker from the candle makes the stars look a little less than sharp than they actually are. Hmmm, I need to think about that one.
