Reflecting
"After you have exhausted what there is of business, politics, conviviality and so on—-have found none of these fully satisfy or permanently wear—-what remains?
Nature remains. "
Walt Whitman 1819-1892
The man knew what he was talking about...even way back in the day when there was no social media!!
I had already voted early since I was supposed to be on the road driving to Colorado with Jerry for his annual elk hunt but plans changed as he is going to ride with two fellow hunters from here instead. Leaving in the morning for the three day drive. I will miss the Colorado scenery this year.
However, I have the scenery here. Today I escaped to the woods at Sesqui State Park for a couple of hours. It is one of the closer to my house state parks. There was hardly any leaf color there but it is mostly a pine forest area so I was not really expecting to see much colorwise. I did spend some time at the creek and pond looking at the reflections.
Always worth the time.
I don't know if the tiny LCD screen works for Tiny Tuesday but I am tagging for technology. There is also a tiny little SD card that will hold way more photos than a standard roll of film ever did.
Cooler and wet weather on the way here. It will be good to be back to fall and we surely need the rain!
