Pink Palace

Another day of clear blue skies. The third day in a row, but possibly this sunny spell is at an end. I could not resist a trip into the country. I ended up at Crigievar Castle after a short visit to Aboyne where I did a little shopping.

Quite a few visitors to the castle beside myself. Almost felt like a holiday day. Though coming to a place like this I have to wonder why at the time when this was built in 1626, people would choose to live in such a remote location.
