I love holiday weekends and the ideas behind them.

We went downtown to the Deep Deuce District of downtown of Oklahoma City and had dinner at a fabulous new Cafe/Market/Bar called Sage.

We had a fabulous dinner, with organic, locally grown ingredients. We ran into an old, young friend, Casey, and made a new friend in our server, Josh.

Then we went to the Oklahoma City National Memorial. We had never been on Memorial Weekend. And it was as always, beautiful and peaceful.

To our surprise the area where the Alfred P. Murrah building once stood, was open and we could walk freely through the rows of chairs.

168 chairs representing all who were lost that day.

149 adults and 19 children. 149 adult chairs and 19 smaller children's chairs.

And today each chair was adorned with a flag. 168 flags.

I've decided to honor the Oklahoma City Memorial this Memorial weekend and show different parts of this beautiful sight.

I'm starting with the wall the architects chose to represent life before the bombing, reflecting into the incredibly beautiful reflecting pool.

Life in our city before we were all changed forever.
