The Old Forge (Wednesday 9th November 2022)
It was raining for most of the morning but the pelargonium in the porch was catching the light so I got a shot of it with a macro lens and then had a play with it, abstracted it, converted it to black and white and then into a red monochrome, as the flower was red to start with. This fits in with steveng's Wide Wednesday monochrome challenge, so here it is.
Perversely the rain has stopped and the sun has come out now. Thanks to steveng for hosting the challenge.
That's two abstracts in under a week and both on the wrong days for Abstract Thursday.

Little Simz - How Did You Get Here? (Mercury Prize 2022) (recorded 17 October 2022, London)
Little Simz (Simbiatu Ajikawo) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2019 for her album Grey Area but this year, despite stiff competition from Gwenno and Jessie Buckley and Bernard Butler, when nominated for her album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert she actually won. She performed it twice, once after being declared the winner, but I think this clip is the earlier one. I meant to post this at the time because I really enjoyed it, but was reminded this afternoon when Craig Charles played the album track on his show.
