Talking About Trees

This is Ibrahim, towards the end of this fine Sudanese film. After attempting to set up the first cinema show in decades, he and his film making friends are thwarted by the military government, whose rule is justified by Islamlic pedantry. Ibrahim takes on the minarets with his megaphone. Then we hear the sound of a rat-at-at weapon. This is a wonderful film, with more hope in it than anything else.
