Collared Earthstar

During the recent storms a large branch was dislodged from one of our trees. I went out this morning to remove it and found that it had landed near a line of seven Collared Earthstars (Geastrum triplex) that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. Its the first time I have seen this bizarre-looking species of fungus in the garden.
