Leaf

A smoke bush leaf late this afternoon just as the sun started to go behind the tree skyline. When the sun is full on, the shrub just looks amazing and very aptly named.

I love how the bush claws back the nutrients to survive the winter months with the yellow veins showing clearly the lack of chlorophyll production. The leaves will fall so letting the stem keep moisture in it's branches and the tree or shrub will be dormant therefore avoid dying.

Busy again with many things and my photography seems to have taken a back seat. I would say it's never reached the front seat for a few months!
