The pot holes saga

After years of complaining about the potholes in our road the council decided to do something about it this week. 
That is the good news. 
 
Today was the big day when they started to pour the hot tarmac down. No problem except we had arranged to meet friends in Perth for lunch and we couldn’t get out.
 
 
Well, let s just say there was a lot of hassle ending with M being given a five minute slot just after 9 am to get our car out. 
 
Yes we had been warned but so far we have always managed to persuade the roadmen to let us through.
 
More good news-tonight we returned to a brand new road. Bliss! No more potholes.
