Sweet and Bitter

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

I had a lovely day today. I was so happy.

I went into the office and was immediately scooped up by Corrie and Erica to go and sit with them. They are charming and funny and it was my pleasure to spend time in their part of the office.

Of course, this is tempered by Corrie's imminent departure which is now IM-EE-NENT.

"No it's not, we are kidnapping her too," says Briar.

I'm never entirely sure how seriously to take Briar's threats of physical violence.

I had to leave Erica and Corrie for an interview with Nice Kiwibank Lady. We spent a lovely 30 minutes chatting and I guess it was sort of interview too.

Oh, and um, wait, I'm being told it's actually an hour. Whoops.

Clearly, we were having a good time. Debbie (Nice Kiwibank Lady) finished up by saying, "So... want a job?"

So here's the deal.

1. Nice Kiwibank Lady was very nice.
2. The office is 5 minutes from my current office.
3. It's in a building above THE LAB! Where I was YESTERDAY!
4. Just 2 days a week in the office required.
5. I can continue to meet Briar for SMOOTHIES.
6. Also they will pay me money.

I mean. How could I say no?

So that's me. Assuming all the adminny stuff goes smoothly my commute will go from one hour to one hour and five minutes at the start of December.

I can't say there is no sadness though. I ran into Fazzy back at the office. She was lovely and funny as ever. Typically we go for chips and ice cream on Wednesday* but she was in a meeting.

"Want me to bring you chips? I could bring you chips!" I offered.

Consequently, I took this photo in MacDonalds.

So Fazzy got chips delivered to her in the middle of her meeting. She is so spoilt. Everyone else at the meeting agreed with me on this.

And at the end of the day we rode the train home together. She is so happy in her new home and we chatted happily and she made me laugh like always.

I'm really going to miss seeing Fazzy, Corrie, Ellie and Briar about the office. They make me happy every time I see them.

Smoothies at The Lab, anyone?

S.

* Well, that's the theory. Actually we haven't managed it for WEEKS.
