Making the Christmas cake

Having started the week with a mono entry (my first MM entry in  ages!), I can't stop and felt that this picture of Violet helping me make the Christmas cake worked better in mono as there is no clash of colours.

Violet has helped me  in previous years but this year at 8 years and nearly a half old, she was eager, and able to,  help with every stage.  We even managed a quick reading and maths lesson well disguised, by reading the recipe and various packets!

The cake was cooked by 9pm.  Now I just have to decorate it.....
