Picus viridis

This morning we had a rare visitor in our garden, a so-called European Green Woodpecker. Rare, because this woodpecker doesn't visit us very often. Our garden is more interesting for other birds.
The woodpecker went through the trees and bushes at the south side of our garden, as well as the firewood storage. Looking for treats, I assume. But obviously there weren't many, so he left soon after.
