Pumpkins and More ...

....returning late this afternoon from a visit to Trader Joe's in Hadley.  It is definitely pumpkin time, but it seems to me that we encounter fewer pumpkin offerings around than in previous years.

On television we are following reports of the results of the elections on Tuesday (two days ago--the "mid-terms" between 2020 and 2024).  Nationally the Democrats and Republicans are evenly divided (although the Democrats did somewhat better than expected).  Challenges to the outcomes are widespread, clearly more than I recall--much has to do with a fellow who is  not in any contest this year--Donald Trump. He does not accept his loss in 2020's presidential race, and his followers tend to question virtually any results that do not favor them.
