We are sailing!!

Life on the ocean wave. After mentioning the possibility of a sailing trip to the boys a few weeks back they have been bombarding me with requests to go week after week. Today that trip finally came round and we set off for Holyhead for an overnighter on Captain Martin's yacht. Safety was naturally at the fore with the two inquisitive little uns onboard, so with life jackets on and anchor points secured we set out to sea for a little jaunt as far as Carmel Head.

It was a nice day to let them find their sea legs. With the sun out and just enough of a breeze to allow us to fill the sails I was able to sit back relax and watch smiles on faces. Back in the security of the marina I set to work on a chilli for us all whilst the boys began to illustrate their day with paper and crazy crayons! Just as we began the wind down for bed Iesty decided to take a tumble knocking his head on the only possible edge he could catch. Cue blood, coastguard, ambulance and a precautionary visit to casualty to get the cut dressed. Back on board, the boys had a laugh and giggle before finally getting their heads down in the aft cabin. Life's certainly not dull anymore.
