People Make Glasgow

Revisited some favourite haunts and art exhibitions today in Glasgow though I couldn’t bring myself to go and see my old college, Glasgow School of Art, ignominiously burnt down twice.

Friends visiting the city for the first time always comments on the humour and warmth of the people, especially those from London who regard such friendliness with suspicion. I was reminded of that today when a waitress hugged two of her customers in a piazza bar. They had given her a generous tip.
