All that's precious

A warm sunny day and I fully intended to post a photograph of our communal gardens today as it is so lovely to enjoy such colourful blooms and fruit in November - but when I saw Lillyanna fast asleep on the bed with her 'arm' around son Craig, (who, along with his siblings, is four months old today) well ... so garden pics are relegated to 'extras' and it's yet another cat pic for my daily blip.

Graham, Kat and Sally went to Izmir today and as Aziz and Arife weren't around either, (olive picking off site) I was alone in the complex. A rare thing. Well, as 'alone' as you can be with 8 kittens, 6 adult garden cats, Harry, and 3 dogs that is.

It was so very warm and sunny that I ate lunch in the garden before taking a stroll around the garden with woofers - Esra who I was doggy sitting for the day, and had let her out after looking so forlorn on Graham's balcony (extra) plus of course garden dogs Gece and Sandy - on a photo shoot of all the lovely blooms and ripe fruit. Then I sat on my back balcony 'resting my eyes' as my Dad used to say, soaking up the warm sunshine, listening to Penelope Keith's stellar performance of yet another one of MC Beaton's entertaining 'Agatha Raisin' mysteries. Weather forecast says 'cold' next week so making the most of the sunshine while I can.  Even so, it was chilly enough this evening for me to finally turn on some heating for a while whilst being entertained by knitting and Netflix.

As it is Armistice, or Remembrance Day, today, some thoughtful words:

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.” – Laurence Binyon

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” – John F Kennedy
